Cosmic
Cosmic Space is divided into two categories. Utopian, where there is no value in a specific place, and locative, where the value is in the place. Q-Anon falls under the locative category as its value is mostly in America. Generally, Q-Anon beliefs are centered around Americans and US politics. Q-Anon has begun to stray to other countries, but its main focus is in the US rather than within itself or a higher power. Similar to some native religions, Q-Anon focuses on what is around itself in America rather than how its beliefs impact elsewhere. The goal of Q-Anon is to expose the Satanic cabal of Democratic Elites. They want to show Americans the truth, their goals are centered around the US and its citizens. The goal is because of the place, it can’t move since it is about the US government rather than a higher power or concept.
Body
Chidester defines bodily space with property and sex as well as social groupings being an extension. Members of Q-Anon find their orientation of bodily space within their community. Both in person and online they surround themselves with each other creating a tight-knit community of supporters. They establish connections with each other that help grow the conspiracy and solidify each other’s beliefs. In bodily space, members of Q-Anon are able to grow their community. By having relationships with each other they can go deeper into the conspiracy without opposition from anyone in their outside life.
Geographical
Chidester classifies geographical space with two sides: existential insideness vs outsideness. Existential insideness is defined as being in the inner circle of your group. Feeling connected to your place and like you have control over your environment. Existential outsideness is defined as feeling alienated from your environment, and being the “outsider”. Q-Anon members would classify under existential outsideness. Within the US, they feel as though they are the outsiders. While they believe they know the truth and how to set Americans free, they are still outsiders since they do not hold control over the US currently. The deep-state cabal run by the democratic elites would be considered the inside. The elitists control the country currently, they are the inside because of this. They have control over the alleged trafficked children and the government. The Democratic Elites also seemingly have governmental control in the eyes of Q-Anon. They are manipulating everyone so they can continue to run their deep-state trafficking ring. Americans are in the trap of democratic elites and therefore the elites become the insiders. While Q-Anon believers have existential outsideness, they also acknowledge themselves as being the holders of the truth. They believe they know what Americans need to do to be free but they need to break into the inside first.
