Classification of Persons

Superhuman

Chidester describes the superhuman as being a sky god, mythological god, or genuine god. In Q-Anon, Q is not necessarily a “sky god” but has superhuman qualities in the way he is treated. “Q”. In the eyes of Q-Anon followers, “Q” is god-like. “Q” is similar to a Christian god because they are not known to be any specific person. While people have speculated the identity of Q, nobody knows who it is. Q has infinite power in the conspiracy and can do no wrong in the eyes of Q-Anon. No matter what Q says, people believe it and follow it religiously. Q knows more than the average person and is the embodiment of Q-Anon.

Q lives online but is thought to have contact with certain right-wing politicians. People such as Donald Trump are thought by conspiracy theorists to have the word of Q. Trump allegedly might know who Q is and what Q believes. Trump is thought to be one of the spreaders of the word of Q along with other right-wing politicians. Q sent these politicians to run for office and overthrow the democratic cabal in the government. This ranks them right below Q in the classification of persons.

Fully human

Q-Anon followers and supporters would rank below the superhuman category in the fully human category. Chidester describes people in this category as humanitarian, with inherent human goodness. While this doesn’t sound like members of Q-Anon to the average person, to themselves and within their community this is the category they fall under. Members of Q-Anon are trying to spread the theories of Q-Anon to people and therefore are fully human rather than subhuman. They are not in the Superhuman category because they do not have any power or connection to “Q” himself.

Subhuman

Chidester defines the subhuman category as anyone who Q-Anon followers would value less than themselves. Within the Q-Anon conspiracy theories, the subhuman persons would be anyone who identifies as a Democrat, or the Democratic elites. People involved in any of the theorized satanic rituals are considered to be subhuman. They don’t follow the Q-Anon theories and don’t believe in Q, making them outsiders to the religion. While all outsiders may not be considered subhuman, these groups are because of their blatant denial of Q-Anon beliefs. Being subhuman often makes them the target of Q-Anon hate. Democratic leaders such as Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden take many death threats and accusations from Q-Anon.
